Can I just take a moment to say that I love my city?! There's truly no place in the world like Austin, Texas. David and I have so much fun enjoying everything the city has to offer, and lately I've been eyeing the folks having fun kayaking on Lady Bird Lake (which runs right alongside downtown). This Saturday we finally made it over to the Rowing Dock and each rented a kayak - although they also offer other options if kayaking isn't your thing. I really don't know why it's taken us so long to try this out, but we will definitely be back when it's not so hot outside. If you've got adventurous family or friends coming into town, this is a really unique way to show them Austin. It's pretty much a guaranteed good time if you ask me. There aren't too many pictures of my outfit in this post - sorry about that - we were just having too much fun without the camera! For this little adventure, I chose a lightweight, floral print romper. Thankfully, I thought to bring along this Michael Stars hat because it was extremely functional on this extremely sunny and hot day (in addition to being super cute of course).
