Cusp by Neiman Marcus Fashion Show
Last Wednesday I enjoyed a long lunch for a fashion show event at Neiman Marcus hosted by Merritt Beck of The Style Scribe. Champagne and fall fashion - sign me up! Not only was there some great style inspiration, but I also got to meet fellow Austin bloggers Lauren (from Make It A Double Please) and Miro (from Dose of Dash). They're both just lovely.
The looks on the models above are just a sampling of my favorites from the show. They were all pulled by Merritt and her sister Alexandra (a stylist at Neiman's in Austin). A few things of note from the show:
- The big colors this season are burgundy, olive/hunter green, and cobalt blue.
- You can (and should) transition both white and pastels into fall.
- Everyone should own something leather this season. If leather pants or a moto jacket are too much, just shoot for a piece with leather accents.
- Don't be afraid to rock some tassle jewelry.
- Wear a flowy blouse under a vest or sweater.
- Booties and strappy heels are here to stay.

Of course, everything is right on-trend for fall.
