Happy Friday! How was everyone’s week? Mine was… up and down. A bit of an emotional roller coaster I’d say. 🎢

One exciting thing that happened to me this week… the Christmas china I’ve been eyeing for years - but never purchased because the price was too steep - went on MAJOR sale, so I snagged it. It’s the “Christmas Tree Gold Collection” by Spode, which is classic and nostalgic and I love it so much. I also love the more casual, stoneware collection. 🎄 And now for the rest of May (at least!), I’m on a spending hiatus. No more shopping! 🙅🏻‍♀️

And with that, here’s this week’s Liz List… with a bit of a different layout this week. Trying something new to see how I like it.

  • The ladies over at Heather Scott Home & Design rounded up the top decor trends for Spring over on their blog. Love the rattan and curvy silhouettes! 🌱

  • Here’s an interesting map that breaks down which states are re-opening their economies (and to what extremes). It’s more states than I expected! 🦠

  • If I weren’t on a spending hiatus, I’d be buying these raffia, heeled sandals. SO cute and a versatile addition to any wardrobe. 👡

  • A perfectly simple, neutral, and family-friendly home in Nebraska. And peep the staircase gallery wall… I’ve got plans to do the same to our staircase sometime soon. It’s next on my home project list! 🖼️

  • Fashion blogger Merritt Beck released her Summer Capsule wardrobe this week. So much cute (and affordable) stuff! 👗

  • “Twilight” author Stephanie Meyer announced a new book for the famous series. This time, the story will be told from Edward Cullen’s perspective. 📖

  • J. Crew declared bankruptcy. And Neiman Marcus. Two other major retailers - JCPenney and Sears - are at risk, too. 💸

  • And here’s another home tour. The style of this home is slightly more classic and is owned by the CEO of online-interior design website Havenly. 🏡

  • An aperol spritz cake? Yes, please! Except I might switch it up and make a cupcake version. 🍰

  • French cookware company Le Creuset launched a collection of enamel dishware this week. Love the red, white, & blue! 🇫🇷🇺🇸 (P.S. everything site-wide is 20% off this week, so if you’ve been eyeing a dutch oven now’s your chance since they’re rarely on sale!).

  • How airlines are changing their in-flight rules in light of the coronavirus. ✈️

  • This report that cooking with a gas stove makes indoor air up to 5x dirtier than outdoor air is a bit alarming. 😳

  • Why you should be journaling right now, via Camille Styles. I started doing so in quarantine and have found it to be very therapeutic! ✍🏻

  • Has a friend or someone you follow on Instagram bought a Peloton during Quarantine? I know several people who have and became curious how the company was doing given the obvious uptick in sales. This article sums it up, and the growth is pretty wild! 🚴‍♀️📈

    Have a great weekend! 😘

    XOXO,

    Liz
